Celtix® natural diatomite

Filchem are proud to announce to the paint and coating industry the arrival of stocks of Celtix® natural diatomite in Australia.

Sourced exclusively from the World Minerals site in Mexico, Celtix® diatomite powder exhibits the following properties:

  • High whiteness
  • Low crystalline silica
  • Low oil and water absorption


The morphology and chemical composition of Celtix® diatoms allow manufacturers of paints and coatings to achieve the following benefits:

  • Improved rheology
  • Improved permeability
  • Efflorescence reduction
  • Opacity gains
  • Odour control
  • Low carbon footprint (compared to flux calcined diatomite)
